The Roots

I am Paula Plumer, and I'm passionate about reading. For 38 years, I was on a journey to discover the best approaches to help children learn to read in my role as a reading teacher. Perhaps it is because I struggled learning to read as a child, and my children after me, that I proceeded down this path. I truly believe every child can learn to read if given the proper instruction. I founded Waltzing Blossom Literacy in 2021 with the mission to share what I learned during my long search and to create effective and affordable reading resources for anyone in need of them. My first product line is a comprehensive phonics curriculum called Foundational Phonics. I've learned that without a strong foundation in phonics, many children will never become sufficiently fluent to attain the higher levels of comprehension. Learning to read is essential to achieving success in our modern world. We owe it to our children to do our very best to help them find success. I hope my products can help you achieve that goal!
